BirdsOfHolland

David Harrison

David Harrison has had a passionate interest in birds for more than 60 years and, since 1997, has spent countless hours exploring the nooks and crannies of Holland Township for its avian treasures. During that time he has found over 230 species of birds within the confines of the township.

In past years Mr. Harrison served as an associate naturalist for New Jersey Audubon, as a regional editor for New Jersey Audubon’s “Records of New Jersey Birds”, as a regional coordinator for the New Jersey Breeding Bird Atlas and as a contributor to the 2nd and 3rd New York Breeding Bird Atlases. He is a lifetime member of the Hudson-Mohawk Bird Club and also serves as an active member of Holland Township’s Environmental Commission where his knowledge of birds, trees and the township’s open space has contributed to its mission
